The DPI project TRAIL 'Monitoring lifetime of thermoplastic composites by combining analytics and machine learning' had its kick-off meeting earlier this month. The project will focus on combining non-destructive experimental methods and data-driven models to monitor crack formation and propagation in fibre reinforced composites. The TRAIL project will be executed within the DPI programme Performance Polymers.
