Two new industrial partners

As from this summer there are two new industrial partners within the Dutch Polymer Institute. The Belgian multinational Bekaert became participant in the technology area Performance Polymers and the German multinational Altana is from now on partner within the area of Coatings Technology.

Bekaert is a global market leader in drawn steel wire products and applications and a technological leader in its two core competences: advanced metal transformation and advanced materials and coatings. The company joins the technology area of Performance Polymers. The area focuses on creating new opportunities for the construction, transport, appliances and electronics industries.

Altana represents a global specialty chemical group with four operating divisions: Byk Additives & Instruments, Eckart Effect Pigments, Elantas Electrical Insulation and Actega Coatings & Sealants. The company will participate in the technology area Coatings Technology in which the partners work on renewable raw materials and novel, environmentally friendly coating technologies, functional (smart) coatings and durability and testing of coatings.
