PhD student François Courtecuisse wins ESPS award

1 January 2011

The Young scientist Awards for the best oral communication were offered during the first European Symposium of Photopolymer Science (ESPS)  in Mulhouse, France, from 28 November to 1 December 2010. The Advisory Board decided to attribute two awards for the best oral communication: to Astrid Gugg from University of Technology of Vienna and François Courtecuisse from the University of Haute-Alsace and the Dutch Polymer Institute.

The Advisory Board was composed of E. Andrzejewska, R. Liska, M. Sangermano, T. Scherzer, K. Van den Berg and Y. Yagci.

The conference was devoted to achieve a fundamental understanding of the physical chemistry, photochemistry, kinetics, structural and mechanical properties of photopolymers.

The programme was mainly based on invited lectures given by respectable scientists working in the field of photopolymers. Generous amounts of discussion times were included in order to stimulate the exchange of new ideas.
