DPI has set up a new technology area: Emerging Technologies (EMT). EMT offers the opportunity to start explorative research on emerging technologies initiated or supported by industrial companies. The theme of the first EMT area of research is water-soluble polymers.
Within the framework of the objectives and strategy of DPI additional areas of research may be identified.
The programme of the EMT forms part of the DPI research programme. Participation by companies and knowledge institutes in the EMT therefore falls under the participation agreement with DPI determined by the Articles of Association and related regulations (in effect from time to time).
