How can analytical chemistry and data science help create safer materials, smarter recycling processes and more circular value chains? COAST is launching a practical 3-day course, Data. Chemistry. Circular Impact., for professionals and students working at the interface of chemistry, data science and the circular economy. Following a successful trial with an AI course, COAST now introduces this new programme with a special emphasis on plastic recycling.
Participants will explore how measurement data can support sorting, recycling and reuse, risk assessment, material quality, circular procurement and Digital Product Passports. The course combines practical case studies with insights into analytical techniques, chemometrics and data-driven decision-making.
The course is led by Dr. Jeroen J. Jansen and Frans Beckers, bringing together expertise in analytical chemistry, chemometrics, circular systems, material recovery and circular business models.
The programme takes place on:
- 18 September 2026 (Inholland, Amsterdam)
- 9 October 2026 (Avans, Breda)
- 5 February 2027 (Hogeschool Utrecht, Utrecht)
